Embroidery digitizing is a technique which entails tracing artwork with stitches by the use of different embroidery softwares. This process in turn creates embroidery files through which your embroidery machine can stitch out the design.
It’s certainly not simple as it sounds. There’s a lot of learning involved such as suitable use of digitizing softwares, appropriate stitch type and directions, etc.
While, the field is relatively new and requires a certain amount of precision, one doesn’t necessarily have to be very artistic to become a good digitizer. Creativity, however, does certainly play a role.
